Edward Palonek and Found Money

palonek_edward @ 22:27

"Money in long-forgotten bank accounts adds up to over $20 billion in the United States and Canada, and banks and governments often do not try very hard to return it to the original owners or their heirs."said Palonek.

Until now, there was no easy, systematicway to find out if any of the unclaimed money rightfully belonged to you.

But a new World Wide Web site at http://www.foundmoney.com offers a one-stop service where consumers can test names for free to see if they match with any of more than 17 million names with the $5 billion total of lost money being held for them.

"I started FoundMoney.com, after my parents died and I knew they'd had money in certain banks," says Edward Palonek, the brains behind the online data bank and founder of the company. "But the banks told me they couldn't look it up without an account number. It made me investigate just how much money was being held back from its rightful owners, and when I learned that that figure was in the billions, I began devising ways to make the information available."

For someone to confirm that there is money out there in their name or a relatives name, one just has to visit the Found Money Website on the Internet at www.foundmoney.com and check for FREE to see if the name is in the large database.

People can also call 1-900-370-2345 from the United States to see if their family has any money owing to them. A typical call lasts only a minute or two as a live operator guides the caller through the process of finding out what is out there, how to get it back, and how to avoid this from happening in the future.

When Palonek appeared on radio and television talk shows such as Oprah Winfrey, throughout North America to discuss the extent of money going unclaimed, many callers for whom he did an on-air search made a "hit" and was on the way to collecting an unexpected bounty.
